National Hunt Racing

National Hunt racing is a form of Horse Racing in which horses are required to jump either fences (chases) or hurdles. However this can also include ‘bumper’ races, which are national hunt flat races. The National Hunt season features some of the worlds biggest races such as The Grand National and The Cheltenham Gold Cup. Flat Racing

Flat racing is a type of horse racing where no jumps are required and the race is run on a level racecourse, this can be either on turf, dirt or an all-weather surface. Most of the big flat races are run in the summer months when the ground is firmer. The British flat season includes the 5 classics, 1,000 Guineas Stakes, 2,000 Guineas Stakes, The Oaks, The Derby and the St Leger Stakes. We currently have 12 year stats and trends for 254 flat races including every Group 1-3 race from the UK and Ireland and all French Group 1 races.
